Hold up, almost a YEAR has gone by?

Yup, I'm a bad mom. I can't believe I let a year slipped by me without posting ANYTHING on this blog. I have a good reason though, you and Triston have kept me so busy the past year it's NUTS!

In the past year, let me see if I can recap what has gone down. After your surgery, the second big one where they had to cut into your hip, you obviously started to walk so you kept me busy, busy, busy making up for all the time you were stuck in that stupid Spica cast. You learned a lot of new words and now you are forming some pretty decent sentences. Triston started the 4th grade and FINISHED the 4th grade since I last wrote in the blog and now he is officially a 5th grader. You my little girl are now 3 1/2 years old and full of ATTITUDE and you are SO FUNNY! Sometimes I wonder where in the heck did you get all your funnies from but hello, it must have been passed down from me! (wink wink)

Last year in August of 2011 we went to North and South Carolina where you were able to finally meet your grandpa Ragan for the very first time. I appreciate the fact that we spent time int he Carolinas because just a month after you met him, your grandpa fell ill and passed away suddenly. I'm sad that you will never have memories that you will remember of him but he was a good man. He could have been a better grandfather to you and Triston but he did give us your dad and without daddy, you and Triston would have never been here. It was a sad time for your dad to lose his dad. It was so sudden, so fast. It only makes me appreciate the relationship that you and Triston have with Papa. Papa loves you and Triston so much but he's trying REALLY hard for you to truly open up to him. You'll give him a kiss and hug ONLY if he pays you a dollar. Sometimes if he's in a good mood he will give you 5 bucks! LOL.

Though I have not written on your blog in about a year, I did capture a lot of photos and movies that I put on Youtube.

I'm off to teach my first Wednesday morning Zumba class so as soon as I can, I'll post some videos here on your blog. You and Triston are going to Papa and Lola's house because dad has a really important phone interview today and we want daddy to get the job!

Loving life!

Life is good Gillybean. Your brother is officially now a 4th grader and you're a busy 2 1/2 year old little girl. Right now I'm sitting in the bathroom of our home, off 110th Way and you're in the bath. You're just sitting there in warm water and playing with toys and lots of bubbles. Summer is in full swing and you two have kept me so BUSY!

The pictures above are of you and Nee Nee playing on the slip and slide. You two spent hours just playing. Life is simple but so rewarding with you two near me. I love you both so much, I just can't explain it. I love waking up to you two each day, I go crazy when you two keep me busy/annoyed during the day (all which I love, trust me) and I love watching you two fall asleep. Simple stuff in life that makes me, your mom, so happy.

You're forming sentences now. Your speech is sorta sloppy but we understand what you're saying. You still love Dora and playing with your dolls. Triston is all about his Transformers X-Box.

In about a week and a half we head to North and South Carolina. Last time you were there you were in my stomach. I was 8 1/2 months pregnant with you. I can't wait to get you there so you and Triston can play in the water and make sandcastles.

My technology baby

I went to look at some pictures I had on my computer this morning and found a video you created all by yourself last night. How did you know what to do? You crack me up! You are almost 2 1/2 years old and you're a total DIVA! You sleep in our bed and tend to kick daddy out to sleep on the couch, poor dad. Your favorite word, literally is NO and you love, LOVE to give lots of hugs and kisses to everyone you know. You're thriving so well in this world baby girl. I love you so much. You and Triston are the world to me!!! You both drive me nuts but I love you SO MUCH!

BUSY BEE!

My Macbook

Between you and Triston, it was bound to happen. My Macbook died, done, crashed, wouldn't even turn on. So needless to say I haven't had a chance to blog about you or Triston. Now that I have a new computer, it's time to talk about you and your big brother.

We just got back from you and Triston's first cruise down the Mexican Rivera. It was amazing. You kept GOING and GOING and so did Triston. He actually stayed out til 3:30 in the morning with cousin Rylee. It was a party that Carnival had for kids. You two were so tired on the drive home from California, all you did was sleep. Both of you. Here are some pics of you and Triston on the trip.

We went on this trip with the entire family. That's right! Papa, Lola, Tammy, Rob, Ireland, Rylee, Crystal, Eli, Noah, Charlie and our little family....all on one trip. It was so much fun. Both you and Triston had the best time. So did I. We plan on going on another family cruise soon and I can't wait.

I can't wait to do more vacations with you and Triston. Explore new things. Make new memories.

TWO YEARS YOUNG!

I can't even believe it's been TWO YEARS since you were born. Two years!! That's 730 wonderful, beautiful, tiresome, busy, relaxed, sleep deprived days with you baby girl. Two years, you have had numerous leg casts for your foot, 2 body casts, two surgeries, one of your foot and one on your hip, u/s, MRI's. You have gone through so much in 730 days than most people go through in their lives and guess what? It made you who you are now, a loving, patient and attentive little girl. My sweet Gillian. I love you so much.

This is mommy at your baby shower. I opened up a present from a friend, a tiny little silver bracelet.....I was overwhelmed with it all.....a confirmation from a friend that I was pregnant with you, a sweet girl. A simple, silver bracelet.

Catching up....22 months old

I can't believe your going to be two years old in just over a month or so. Crazy!!! It was just a second ago we were doing IVF to transfer your embryo inside my tummy and now you are here. They always say, time flies when you're having fun. Needless to say, a lot of your life you have been through a lot but the good for sure outweighs the bad.

Took you to see Dr. Vu a few weeks ago for another x-ray to see if your femur is still in the hip and it IS!!!! Now that it is, you're trying so hard to catch up and your finally starting to try to walk without help. You only go about 4-5 steps but you do it. I'll post some videos shortly!

Yo Yo

This past Friday, I took you and Triston to a Comic Book store for some yo yo lessons. You used your foot to swing your yo yo around. You had a great time, so did Triston. He did REALLY good considering he really never has used the yo yo before. Here are some pics!

Afterwards, we went and had Mexican food and then we grabbed some ice-cream with Tammy, Rob, Ireland, Rylee, Eli, Crystal, Noah and Charlie. We all had a great time. Daddy couldn't come because he had to work. I look forward to doing it again!!

Friday!

I love Fridays, I love them because, well, it's FRIDAY! Triston gets a few days off school and you get to spend more time with him. Everyday, when you hear the brakes on the bus that Triston rides home on, you scoot your way to the front door. You scream for him, you yell out "nee nee" and everyday after school, you get lots of kisses from him.

This morning, the power went out and it woke you up early......I'm already tired and it's only 9:30 a.m. You're in the crib now but I am waiting for you to want to get out and destroy the house. Seriously, I thought girls are suppose to be "clean" but you're far from it, you get into everything and your favorite thing to do is spray our floors with your bottle. Everyday, milk all over and everyday, I mop the floors.

Anyway, little girl, I decided to download some videos off my flip and here are a few I knew you and Triston would like to watch later on in life.
